This Toolkit is designed to assist financial institutions to scale up their deployment of capital into energy efficiency. According to the authors,it was compiled with several objectives in mind namely to –
- better appraise the value and the risks in energy efficiency capital deployments,
- provide a common framework for EE investments and risk appraisals capacity building,
- serve as catalytic instrument to attract at-scale external capital to EE projects and
- provide a common language for full spectrum of EE value chain players
Although the focus is on value and risk appraisal, additional material on the size of the potential market, methods of financing and the project life cycle have been included to give a fuller picture and help build capacity within financial institutions.
